Welcome to The Funky Feet School of Dance & Performing Arts!

At The Funky Feet School of Dance and Performing Arts, we believe that every step counts—whether you're dancing for fun, building confidence, or training for a professional career. Our school offers exceptional dance and performing arts education for students of all ages and abilities. From beginners to advanced performers, we provide a safe, inspiring, and inclusive space for everyone to express themselves through movement and performance.

Who We Are

Founded by Joan Gisborne and passed on to Vicky Codling in 2009, Funky Feet has continued to grow and evolve into a leading school in the heart of our community. Under Vicky’s guidance, the school has flourished, expanding our offerings to include a wide variety of dance styles and performing arts disciplines for children as young as 2.5 years old, all the way up to adults.

We’re proud to have recently moved to Langley School and added drama classes to our curriculum, completing our holistic approach to performing arts education. By nurturing a range of skills, we equip our students with the versatility and confidence needed to succeed in the competitive world of performance.

We believe that learning should be fun and rewarding. Our talented and experienced teachers provide personalised training to meet each student’s needs, encouraging them to challenge themselves while enjoying the journey.

We offer dance and drama classes in a variety of styles, including ballet, modern, contemporary, tap, street, and more. Whether you're looking to explore dance for fun or pursue a professional career, there's something for everyone.
Our students have the chance to take exams through the prestigious Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) syllabus, these are recognised qualifications and as you move up through grades students can gain valuable UCAS points, also helping them build a solid foundation in technique and performance.
At Funky Feet, we believe in the power of performance. Our students regularly participate in school shows, competitions, and local events like the pantomime, giving them the chance to showcase their hard work and talent.
Students are selected to train in this team and for those with a passion for competitive dance, we run a dedicated competition team. Students selected for this team train and perform at various events throughout the year, further honing their skills and gaining valuable stage experience.
